Sarah Wilson is an experienced attorney with a focus on municipal representation and litigation defense work. She previously served as assistant corporation counsel for the City of Poughkeepsie. In this position, she provided legal guidance to the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals, and also worked collaboratively with the Building, Zoning, and Planning Departments to review submissions, analyze potential issues, and apply relevant provisions of the General City Law and City Code. Additionally, Sarah has counseled several land use boards, including the Hyde Park ZBA, Washington Planning Board, Washington ZBA, LaGrange ZBA, and was conflict counsel to the LaGrange Planning Board. Her background includes assisting her colleagues with providing legal counsel to the Kent Planning Board, Marlborough Planning Board, Pleasant Valley Planning Board, Poughkeepsie Planning Board, Putnam Valley ZBA, Putnam Valley Planning Board, and Union Valey Planning Board. In this position, she handled legal issues ranging from simple site plan reviews to complex zoning projects to involved SEQRA analyses.
Along with her municipal practice at Drake Loeb, assisting to represent municipalities including the Towns of Cornwall, Fishkill, and New Windsor, to name a few, she actively defends Hudson Valley municipalities and school districts as a skilled litigation defense attorney.
