Profile
A native of the Hudson Valley, Gary J. Gogerty represents many of its area banks, businesses and individuals in a wide range of matters including residential and commercial bank lending transactions, real estate closings, and estate planning and probate cases. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Mid-Hudson Valley Mortgage Bankers’ Association, serves on the Membership Committee of the Hudson Valley Builders & Remodelers Association, and is an active member of the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council.
Gary also maintains an active social security disability practice and enjoys a long-standing membership in the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives. His specialized Accredited Attorney credential with the Department of Veterans Affairs also permits him to represent our veterans in benefits hearings and appeals. As one social security disability client puts it, “Gary and his paralegal have been there every step of the way with me and my family -- helping us to get things in order for the good of my family – when we got into court, he was such a strong presence for us that everyone in the courtroom sat up and took notice. He helped us to be heard.”
According to Gary, “Practicing in these areas allows me the opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life. I enjoy being the voice of those whom I represent, making sure that their interests are protected from zealous people or entities looking out for themselves. Getting my clients and their families into homes, helping them start businesses, the disability income they require, and otherwise prepared for the future is tremendously satisfying."
